Word has been received that we are welcome to come fly.

To remind everyone a few things to remember.

1. Drive carefully - especially after the flight when returning to the launch field.
2. Observe the traffic signs directing you to exit to the north east end of the property.
3. Launch fields this year are on the south side of the buildings.
4. Keep in mind the public when celebrating following the flights. Low key the alcohol and avoid using their 'picnic' area.

Saturday March 21st.

Visited the farm today.

Tulips have not shown blooms yet. Field/flower conditions are being posted on the Wooden Shoe Web Site. Barbara thinks it will be a couple weeks before there is much color.

Details about the Festival and field conditions may be viewed on their web site www.woodenshoe.com

The tulip fields this year are located on the South side of the farm (behind the store and office) the entire length of the farm. This is the area where we parked and launched last year.

Launching this year will take place at the East end of the farm, on the East side of the large parking area. This area is an established grass field. There is plenty of access along the length of the parking area to back trucks/trailers up to the edge of the field and minimizes driving on the grass. Watch for sprinkler line heads along the edge of the field. To reach this area enter the main entrance, drive through the front parking area and follow the exit signs to the rear of the farm. For those with riders, it is a good idea to meet your passengers in the main parking area, then transport them to the launch field. This will minimize the traffic congestion at the launch area. The main parking area (the old launch field in years past) is easily identified; it's all gravel with parking stripes.

The field West of the parking area (last year's Tulip field) is now a 1st year grass field. Barbara has said that it may used to get a better positioning for photo's once it dries out and the ground hardens. However, I would not recommend it as it is quite tender and the ground is very soft. Vehicles on the field may find themselves becoming a permanent attraction... Let's be very careful here to not upset the wonderful relationship we have with the Iverson's.

Please remember we will be sharing the farm with the general public attending the Festival. Discretion choosing your post flight celebration location and alcoholewould be wise.

Each weekend, weather permitting, we are welcome to come and add some more color with non-sponsored fun flights.

We also are welcome to fly there on weekdays.

Come join in some fun early spring flights.

If you want to drop me an e-mail, I'll post a list of who is planning to fly and when here weekly.
